Drywall arrives
Menards delivery guy shows up at 10:45 with the drywall, alone, to deliver it to the basement. Apparently, the $100 he gets from me isn't enough to have a helper so he'll be moving those 50 sheets, 2 at a time, into the basement by himself. I'm thinking that's at least 2 hours worth of work.

I would have delivered it as a one man crew also... because you only paid for first floor handling. Basement cost is $2.50 per sheet. I deal with customer scams every week too. We are independently contracted haulers, which is one of the reasons menards can provide its customers with merchandise savings. Drywall is four to six dollars per sheet cheaper than local competitors. What you paid to have it delivered AND carried in is still saving you a lot of money, even if you had paid the $25 extra in which that driver was entitled to but did not get "for some reason".

are you accusing me of something? I told Menards where I wanted it delivered up front. I was just commenting that it was going to be a lot of work for 1 person.
